If you modify a fuel injected car and say add forced induction (turbo or supercharger) you have to upgrade the fuel delivery system which will cause the car to run rich in most cases. Thats why a fuel tuning/management device is required. On a carbureted engine the throttle actually controls the fuel delivery itself and that is why holding the throttle down will lead to flooding. Carburetors also use jetting instead of electronics to control lean or richen the air/fuel mixture up.
Im sure its already been said but you cant flood a fuel injected engine by holding down the throttle with the engine off. The throttle on fuel injected cars DOES NOT control fuel delivery. It controls the amount of air that the engine takes in via a throttle plate (which opens and closes to either allow or block airflow) which the ECU or engine control unit then reads via sensors and then decides how much fuel to inject into the combustion chambers based on its calculated air intake.
Usually Fuel injection dosent flood if the vehicle isint running Even if the key is on … the Map/ mass air flow sensor helps regulate the fuel getting injected into the engine…. what it looks like is the guy is really retarted… if its car trouble … VIDEO THE CAR > NOT FEET !
